- Task
- As Senior UI/UX Designer, simplify onboarding, design a new ETF savings product and bring the Figma design system up to speed for rapid growth.
- Action
- 10 interviews across two age groups, a story-style ETF introduction, a fast lane to invest next to a deep dive, and 20+ new system components.
- Result
- Around 20% more registrations, a bounce rate roughly 20% lower, about 20% better conversion and about 35% higher customer satisfaction.

Situation
A powerful product that felt hard to start with
NURI goes beyond a bank account. Users can save into ETFs and cryptocurrencies with automated plans. But every new user first had to get through a regulated onboarding with passport, tax ID, income source and an identification call, and then make sense of investment products many had never used.
Two very different audiences had to feel safe in the same app.
Mobile-first, low financial literacy
Millennials
- Expect fast, familiar app patterns
- Find financial products hard to understand
- Want instant access to their money
Experienced savers, new to apps
Boomers
- Prefer clear, step-by-step guidance
- Worry about security and privacy
- Need reassurance before they trust a digital bank
Task
Make banking and investing feel simple and safe
Goals
- Simpler onboarding: get new users through a regulated sign-up without losing them.
- New ETF savings product: design NURI Pots from first explanation to recurring savings plan.
- Scalable system: update the Figma library so the team could ship faster.
Constraints
- Regulation: identity, tax and income checks that cannot be skipped.
- Trust: people move real money, so every screen has to feel secure.
- Real-time data: market prices and balances that change constantly.
