Overview

Situation
Real estate teams managed their assets across fragmented processes. Navigation was complex, property data was disorganised and collaboration on sensitive documents was hard.
Task
As Senior UI/UX Designer, redesign the asset manager app around clear navigation, well organised property data, collaboration and secure data handling.
Action
A map-based dashboard, an asset browser with drag and drop, smart folders that sort documents automatically, document search with classes and saved filters, and a style guide and design system.
Result
A consistent product and design system handed over to development, built around how asset managers find, organise and share documents.

Situation

Fragmented processes around very sensitive data

Managing real estate assets meant complex navigation, disorganised property data and few tools to collaborate. Professionals worked across fragmented processes, which slowed them down and made teamwork harder.

At the same time the data is highly sensitive. Every improvement had to keep documents protected.

Task

Make a complex product easy to navigate

Goals

  • Navigation: find any asset or document in a few steps.
  • Organisation: structure property data so it stays tidy as portfolios grow.
  • Collaboration: work on documents together instead of in parallel.
  • Security: protect sensitive data without slowing people down.
